In 2024 Stern Energy, a company that specializes in services for photovoltaic systems, approached Project Hours with the request to integrate time tracking with their maintenance software. This gives Stern Energy insights in the amount of time engineers spend on maintenance tasks on various projects. This helps to get better insights in resources and costs spent on maintenance.
Project Hours developed an integration with Fiix maintenance software that does the following:
- Fiix work orders are imported in Project Hours for time tracking. On a set schedule, new and updated work orders are made available in the time tracking system. On completion, workorders are automatically disabled in Project Hours.
- Registered hours in Project Hours are written back to Fiix.
Engineers can use the Project Hours mobile app to select a work order and register time. The integration ensures that work orders are available at all times in Project Hours. The time tracking overviews and reports in Project Hours help to get an overview of work hours and travel time spent on workorders.
The integration between time tracking software and maintenance systems combines best of both world: easy time tracking combined with efficient work order management.
